Thanksgiving “Be Thankful” Dessert Bar

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and be grateful for all of our blessings and loved ones around us. What better way to celebrate how thankful we are for our loved ones than with a delicious dessert bar! I chose copper, gold, cream, and brown to style this dessert bar. I used these pretty vintage cream fans from Oriental Trading to create the backdrop and this glittered leaf garland to overlay on top of the fans. I framed this gorgeous “Be Thankful” printable from Carrie Elle and hung it over the fans. You can click here to download the printable.

For the desserts, I kept it simple and stress free with bakery made items including chocolate cupcakes, squirrel cookies, pumpkin spice cake, and apple cider and pumpkin donuts. So yummy! I added these adorable cupcake toppers from The TomKat Studio. For a little added flair, I attached a gold adhesive to each cupcake topper. I think they look so pretty and elegant! Is there anything better than apple cider and donuts? Especially when the apple cider is served in these beautiful copper mugs! I am just loving copper this season.

This pumpkin spice bunt cake was so delicious. I made a mini cake banner using this printable from I Should be Mopping the Floor.  I simply cut out the flags and attached to some twine and tied each end to  a paper straw. I then added some copper glitter washi tape to the top. Such a simple and fun DIY that makes a big impact!

To tie the decor all together, I found these adorable gold turkey centerpieces from Oriental Trading. Aren’t these little guys so cute?  Perfect for Thanksgiving! I set them on top of two white craft pumpkins that I adorned with beautiful copper washi tape I also found on Oriental Trading. I must say that I have purchased my fair share of washi tape and have come to find that not all washi tape is created equal but this washi tape was not only gorgeous but so easy to work and great quality!

I also used the copper washi tape to decorate white treat boxes from  Oriental Trading. I added a gold ribbon and this beautiful “Thankful” favor tag from A Lovely Design. I love how they turned out! Click here to download the free printable. I loved giving these to the guests as a special way to say that I am thankful for each and every one of them! I filled the favor boxes with chocolate almond gold kisses.

 

 

 

These mini copper lanterns also made the perfect addition to my dessert bar. Aren’t they pretty?! Such fun finds at Oriental Trading!

No party is complete without a fun craft for the kiddos! These fun and adorable turkey ornaments were so fun to make. Oriental Trading has amazing options when it comes to fun crafts for kids.  My son loved putting together this turkey.
