Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 6, 2026
The Party Porch (thepartyporch.com) is operated by Mo Ice Plz LLC, doing business as The Party Porch, in Spring, Texas ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email [email protected].
The short version
- Accounts are for adults (18+) only. We never create accounts for children.
- About your child, we only ask for an optional first name and an age. We never ask for a last name, birthdate, school, or photo.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads based on it.
- Vendors only get your details when you send them a quote request.
- You can delete your account and all your parties at any time from your Account page.
What we collect
If you just plan a party without an account: your answers (child's age, optional first name, date, guest counts, budget, zip code, interests, and any notes) stay in your own browser. They are not sent to us unless you save your plan, with two small exceptions: to show local vendors and, for outdoor parties within a week, the weather forecast, your browser asks us for information about your zip code (only the zip code). We don't store it.
If you create an account:
- Your email address (to sign you in with an emailed code) and your confirmation that you're 18 or older.
- The parties you save: optional child first name, child's age, party date and time of day, guest counts, budget, zip code, interests, theme, and any notes you add, including allergy or special-needs notes.
- If you send invitations: the party address, your note for guests, and your invitation message.
- Your budget entries and your vendor shortlist.
- Email addresses of helpers you invite (for example, a grandparent) and of guests you ask us to email an invitation to.
- Quote requests you send to vendors.
If you RSVP as a guest: your name, your answer, how many adults and kids are coming, any allergies or needs you share, your message to the host, and your email address only if you ask for a reminder. Only the host (and helpers the host invites) can see your RSVP. Other guests can't.
Automatically:
- Anonymous counts of how often each vendor is shown or opened. These counts contain no information about who you are.
- Website visit statistics through Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Technical logs kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies: we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember your answers and checklist ticks on your own device.
How we use it
- To build and save your party plan, budget, guest list, and invitations.
- To sign you in, and to send the emails you ask for: sign-in codes, invitations, RSVP reminders, helper invites, and quote requests.
- To show local vendors that fit your party.
- To show vendors anonymous totals (for example, "shown to 230 families") in our reports to them.
- To keep the service secure and working.
When we share information
- With a vendor, when you request a quote. We send that vendor your name, email address, party date, guest count, town, and your message. We never send your child's name or your party address to vendors.
- With people you choose: helpers you invite and guests who open your invitation link. Guests only see the address after they RSVP "Yes."
- With service providers that run the site for us, only as needed: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (website hosting and visit statistics), Resend (sending email), and Cloudflare (our domain name). They may not use your information for their own purposes.
- With the National Weather Service, for weather forecasts: only the approximate center of your zip code, never your address or anything about you.
- If the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
Children's privacy
The Party Porch is for parents, grandparents, and other adults who plan parties. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only information about a child is what an adult chooses to enter: an optional first name and an age. Guests should not share a child's last name, photo, school, or birthdate in RSVP messages. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
- Saved parties, guest lists, budgets, and shortlists are kept until you delete the party or your account.
- Deleting a party permanently removes its guest list, RSVPs, budget, and shortlist.
- Quote requests are kept so vendors' monthly lead counts stay accurate, and are deleted with your account.
- Information may remain in routine backups and logs for a limited time before it is overwritten.
Your choices and rights
- See or change your parties and guest lists at any time when signed in.
- Delete a party from My parties, or delete your whole account from the Account page.
- Ask us for a copy of your information or for help deleting it: [email protected]. We'll respond within 45 days.
- Guests can change their RSVP from the same device, or ask the host to remove it.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), sign-in by one-time email codes, and database rules that let each person see only their own parties. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe.
Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let account holders know by email.
